Ein Gedi desert oasis

Did you know Ein Gedi is the desert oasis where King David hid from Saul? When you visit this famous desert oasis on the shores of the Dead Sea, you really don't expect to find such a lush oasis with waterfalls, natural pools and lush greenery in the middle of the desert! Ein Gedi is one of my favorite places to visit and this photo was such a unique moment: as we were at the end of our hike, suddenly we were surrounded by at least fifty ibex (desert goats) who wanted to drink at the waterfall. The sun was setting and it was such a wonderful scene!
